“There's something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man”  -Winston Churchill

Selected applicants into the WMR Champions Program, a Faith curriculum that integrates biblical principles while our Warriors have an opportunity to learn horsemanship, become familiar with a ranching life, experience all aspects of stockmanship which necessary to keep  livestock healthy while getting a deep, inner look at themselves, their goals and the plan they have to surpass them. Our four phase program is enhanced by professional coaching, skilled trainers and incredible speakers to challenge our Warriors in every facet of becoming the best man, leader, father, son, brother, friend and coworker to create a positive impact in their lives both professionally and personally. WMR Champions Program’s activities are designed to develop individual growth, confidence building and learning to trust again. Even when people feel that they have no outlet, a horse will always be there for you. Warrior Mission Ranch helps participants take what they learn on the ranch and apply that to all aspects of their lives. We believe in the whole person concept, therefore everyday we touch on the Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual aspects of life to promote growth and healing.

PHASE 1:

During the first phase of the WMR Champions Program, participants will be paired with an executive professional coach who will help with career development and coaching. They will be given assessments and have individual coaching sessions which will help them to begin thinking about how they want this experience to impact their professional lives.

PHASE 2:

Participants will travel to our training facility in Colorado, where they will have long days learning horsemanship, riding multiple horses, basics on stock management, leadership course, speciality classes, group coaching sessions and time to reflect with one another building a new tribe.

PHASE 3 - RANCH WEEK:

Students will depart to one of our commercial working ranches where they will be integrated into all ranch operations, learning new skills and working as a ranching cowboy putting their new skills to use for a week. In Phase 3, there is a lot more responsibility as the class begins to become self-run with oversight, and our students will find themselves wrangling horses, checking stock, gathering, sorting, branding calves. Whatever the task of the ranch is, we are working alongside the ranch cowboys to get the mission accomplished. “Good judgment is the result of experience and experience is the result of bad judgment.” - Mark Twain. This is real world experience and you will continue to overcome challenges out on the range. The learning is in the application in real life scenarios. You will be tired, dirty, sore, and on top of the world accomplishing something new. This is not the time to quit, this is the time to change and grow from challenges'

PHASE 4:

“A man’s gift makes room for him” -Proverbs 18:16  “Do what makes you feel alive, the world needs more people like that.” -John Eldridge

During Phase 4, the education continues for our Warriors through the WMR Champion Program. They meet up with their coaches, discuss and reflect upon the growth they’ve seen during the last three phases and how it will be implemented in their personal and professional life to ensure success. We work closely with various outfits across the country and advocate for our Warriors to get internships, job placements into wilderness outfitting as a hand, learning horsemanship, or working cattle on a ranch. Additionally, if you are employed, that’s great. We want to see you take the new skills learned from the Champion program and implemented into everyday life. We strategically created a follow up program with certified business coaches and consultants to reinforce the tools learned throughout the course, coach through challenges faced as the Warrior’s reintegrate back into the workforce.  No matter what a student chooses, it’s imperative that they find meaningful work and keep progressing.

Phase 4 continues well after a Warrior steps off the Ranch. We have numerous check-ins and follow up to reinforce the tools learned throughout the course and to give the opportunity to be coached through any challenges they may face personally or professionally.  Our WMR Champions Program helps redefine purpose, rediscover inner strength and find healing - ultimately supporting Warriors to become better spouses, parents and community members.

Please note that applications must be completed in their entirety in order for the applicant to be considered for our program.
